Pastry Connoisseur, Part 1

Lately I have been systematically working my way through the pastry counter at Starbucks. I’m only about a quarter of the way through, but so far, here are my reviews for the first four pastries.

Rating system: 2 stars for taste, 1 star for convenience, 1 star for presentation, 1 star for price.

BLUEBERRY YOGURT MUFFIN: Excellent, especially when warm. Good comfort food. Good quality. 5/5 stars.

CHOCOLATE CROISSANT: Pretty good, but messy, and takes a long time to cool if you heat it. 4/5 stars.

ALMOND CROISSANT BLOSSOM: Okay, but not good enough to warrant the fact that it’s a dollar more than any other pastry. 3/5 stars.

TIRAMISU CAKE POP: Good, but v. small, and really $1.25 for two bites, even delicious ones, isn’t worth it. 4/5 stars.
